I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
