2K Games has welcomed a seasoned producer from Respawn Entertainment to oversee the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the anticipated third-person action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Management Change Comes After Mixed Response
Brinkman assumes the role of studio head at the development studio following the exit of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' lackluster unveiling last autumn.
On Wednesday, 2K president David Ismailer informed staff about this organizational change through an official communication, which emphasized that playtesting had shown the requirement for a clearer direction.
The president noted that the team is now overhauling the project with a refreshed approach, aiming to address community desires.
Trend of Key Hires
This announcement echoes a similar action taken by 2K Games in August, when they brought on an industry veteran from the Diablo team to work on the BioShock development group.
